Belleza y salud is organized by Corferias, the international exhibition company based in Bogota, Colombia. The 2019 edition marked the 18th year of the exhibition, which has become a major showcase and market reflection for the development and promotion of the cosmetics industry in Colombia and South America, with a yearly growth rate of 8%.

Colombia is an ideal gateway to enter the South American market as it is gradually becoming a major center for research and production of cosmetics and personal care products in the region. Colombia has a strong export-oriented production and has signed free trade agreements with neighboring countries, attracting foreign companies that are interested in investing or engaging in trade with the country.

This year’s exhibition welcomed 68,300 attendees, a 5% increase compared to 2018, and featured 450 participating companies, a 13% increase from the previous year. Eleven countries showcased their beauty products, including cosmetics, professional hair care, personal care, and nail products.

Since 2017, the organizers of the exhibition, Corferias, and BolognaFiere Cosmoprof, a subsidiary of the Italian Bologna Exhibition Group, have successfully collaborated for three consecutive editions. BolognaFiere Cosmoprof has been instrumental in bringing international exhibitors to the exhibition, creating a platform for interaction and business opportunities for local distributors, retailers, and key opinion leaders in South America. The international exhibitors from the Cosmoprof group came from Brazil, Spain, Russia, Greece, Australia, Italy, China, South Korea, Mexico, Germany, and the United States, showcasing products in cosmetics, professional hair care, personal care, and nail categories.
